1 - READ THE WORD
Seeing and hearing our God
“Without having seen him you love him; though you do not now see him you[c] believe in him and rejoice with unutterable and exalted joy. As the outcome of your faith you obtain the salvation of your souls.”
1 Peter 1:8-9
2 - Reflect
I have often heard many, who still disbelieve the Lord's existence, ask us how we believe in Him if we have never seen nor heard Him. The truth is that I have seen and heard Him. I see how my brothers love each other, how they show solidarity with one another and help each other constantly. I see how justice works in favor of those who are devout and faithful Christians, and who live in God's example. Also, I could see how I have gotten myself back up thanks to His deep love and company, because my God was always there when I most needed Him.
I had the opportunity to hear His Word at every Mass, and speak with him in my daily meditations. I listened to His advice in my darkest hours, when I gave everything up as lost and felt that i could in no way move on. I understood His call every time He summoned me, to laud me for my achievements and to reprimand me in my failures as a Christian. I gave myself to His plans and understood that every step in my path was drawn under His cover. Every time He demanded obedience, I was available to serve Him, and to show that I deserved His blessing.
